As a Christian and father of two wonderful children, I am 100% Pro-Life. I am against any taxpayer funding of abortion and Planned Parenthood. As a member of the TN General Assembly I cosponsored and passed legislation ending the use of TennCare dollars to pay for abortions. I have been and will continue to be a tireless advocate for the unborn.

The right of Americans to keep and bear arms is as relevant now as it was when our founding fathers enshrined it in our Bill of Rights. Our Second Amendment rights are guaranteed in the Constitution for a reason, and that right must not be infringed upon by any level of government. As a proud member of the NRA I will fight to protect the right of law-abiding citizens to own and carry firearms.

As a small business owner, I’ve seen first-hand how the growth and intrusion of government slows the development of businesses and restricts their ability to grow and put more people to work. I will work hard to get government out of the way and allow businesses to thrive. I also know the importance of living within our means. I will work to make sure that government operates as efficiently as possible keeping taxes low.

I’m working to decrease the costs associated with healthcare by removing regulation and increasing transparency. I also believe we must tackle the opioid crisis that’s ripping our families and communities apart.

Education is something that runs deep in the Boyd family. Not only am I the son of a retired Special Education teacher, I too have a degree in Education.  I believe in equipping our teachers with the tools and resources needed to give Tennessee children the best public education in the nation. Because not all children excel in the same environment and parents have a better pulse on the need of their children I believe in giving parents more choice in where their children go to school.
